a long time

It has been some time since I last blogged and much has happened since then.   I had a knee replacement that has not healed properly in the last 3 years so have had temporal arteritis since then , from the infection I believe I picked up in the hospital, plus pneumonia twice .   I have been on prednisone for some time.   That has caused a lot of problems.   I now have a heart condition.   My dear husband died this past September after 61 years together and so it has been a struggle.   Many thanks to my children who have been a great help to me.   My eyesight isn't as good as it once was but it is amazing what we can do when faced with problems.  You get up and go forward or sit in your chair and wilt away.  

 

Today, January 6 /10 we have snow and it is cold out altho not too much wind so isn't too bad but the walking is slippery. January is usually a cold snowy month in these parts.   Oversees is getting a good taste of winter and the media is complaining that Britian is so ill equiped but what did they expect when they haven't had anything like this in a century.   Keep a barn load of equipment they may never use?  Always someone complaining  about something.  If the complainers are so smart why aren't they running things .

The kids and skiers are a happy lot .   Soon the Olympic games will be on and they want snow,  they even make it.
